Founded in the mid-1990s by Phil and Sharan Caskey to bring the traditional Māori knowledge of the Mānuka plant to the world as a health resource. The honey business began in 1996 as 'Bee and Herbal'; the lineage later became New Zealand Mānuka Group, under which Melora is marketed as a consumer brand.
